Real Bread Campaign supporter Tona Erreguin has been crowned Baker of The Year in the Baking Industry Awards (BiA) 2025.
The south Oxfordshire bakery owner said: ‘I am incredibly honoured and humbled by this award. This is a testament to the hard work and passion of every single team member at Imma the Bakery. Our goal has always been to create soul-touching baked goods for our local community with the most local products we can get.’
Peter Wenzel, founder of Real Bread Campaign supporter baker Wenzel’s The Bakers, was awarded this year’s BiA Outstanding Contribution to the Baking Industry.
Real Bread Campaign coordinator Chris Young said: ‘Congratulations to Tona, Peter and all of the Real Bread bakers amongst the winners and finalists.’
Information on, and comments from, all of this year’s winners and nominees can be found on the BiA website.
Whether or not they make Real Bread, everyone is invited to JOIN the Campaign in support of the charity's work.
Every company that make at least one additive-free product is invited to add their details to the free Real Bread Map and encouraged to sign up to The Real Bread Loaf Mark scheme.
