The Stockport campaign is coordinated by Feeding Stockport, and they need your help! If you are a food-serving business in Stockport, please sign the pledge and help your town to become the world’s first Sustainable Fish City, or contact for more information.

The following food-serving organisations in Stockport have signed the Sustainable Fish City pledge for their fish buying, also promising to promote sustainable fish to their staff and customers.

Local authorities and schools

Solutions SK
Solutions SK is Stockport’s own facilities, catering and environmental services organisation, owned wholly by Stockport Council and the largest provider of school meals in the Borough. Solutions SK was one of the first caterers to join the Fish and Kids project; adding the Marine Stewardship Council ecolabel to menus and using fun educational resources in schools. They provide over 1.5 million school meals per year, and use only British meat and free range eggs.

Stepping Hill Hospital
Stepping Hill Hospital is Stockport NHS Foundation Trust’s main hospital and by far it's largest, and looks after a population of around 350,000. The hospital has one of the largest orthopaedic services in the country and a specialist stroke centre serving the south of Greater Manchester. With 778 beds it operates a large and busy food operation, catering for inpatients with specialist needs including urology, maternity and stroke, as well as for visitors and thousands of staff. A part of the Sustainable Fish Cities pledge, only sustainable fish will be served across all catering operations.
