Reports: Soy no more: Breaking away from soy in UK pig and poultry farming

Reports: Sustain evidence to the EFRA Committee on supply chain fairness
The UK’s food supply chain has become inefficient, unfair, and inflexible therefore unable to cope with the shocks increasingly being imposed on it. Our evidence shows that huge amounts of money are extracted out of the system as costs and profits. The data in our Unpicking Food Prices report (deliberately using data from before the Ukraine invasion) showed that farmers often receive less than 1% of the overall profit, with farm businesses relying on income support payments from Government.

Reports: Investing in a better food future: the innovative role of food partnerships

The UK can not meet its climate goals without taking action in the food system but currently there is no plan, mechanism or targets to bring UK food emissions in line with the Paris Agreement.

Reports: Healthy Start Working Group policy positions
Healthy Start is part of the Government’s benefits scheme targeted at families with children under the age of four and pregnant mothers on very low incomes. It is meant to provide a safety net for families who are nutritionally vulnerable. Families are given a card that can be used in shops to buy milk, fruit, vegetables and vitamins. Sustain and The Food Foundation convene a working group for civil society and early years healthcare representatives collectively working to ensure Healthy Start is meeting its objectives and is serving those families who most need its support.
