London celebrates Sourdough September

This September, Londoners can join the celebrations of all things sourdough, with classes to keep you doughing and a round up of amazing bakeries bringing you your sourdough fix.

If you, like many others, have found that baking has become a new pastime and that sourdough is now a staple in your home, it's time to celebrate with #SourdoughSeptember.  

Here's a quick guide to help you get stuck into sourdough, whether making or shopping, beginner or expert from our wonderful London Food Link network.

Where to learn

If you’ve embraced your inner baker and are ready to make your loaf at home, why not head to either Hen Corner or Made in Hackney for a course in how to make sourdough.

Create wonderful sourdough breads at their course, have a delicious lunch and explore the gardens to say hello to the chickens and bees!

East London’s fantastic plant-based cookery school will introduce you to all things sourdough at their course. You’ll be served a delicious organic plant-based lunch and you’ll have your own starter, recipes and bread to take home!
