NHS promises healthier food

Simon Stevens, Chief Executive of NHS England has called on hospital catering vendors and PFI contractors to lead the way in offering healthy food to staff and patients.

In an initiative designed to combat sickness and poor health among staff (costing the tax payer an estimated £2.4 billion a year) Simon Stevens is challenging NHS caterers to improve food and nutrition on NHS sites. Support Sustain's campaign for Better Hospital Food.
