Calling future smallholders

The Ecological Land Co-operative is asking anyone interested in farming one of their plots to complete a survey -- with a chance to win free tickets to the Oxford Real Farming Conference

The Ecological Land Co-operative (ELC) is a social enterprise that provides access to land for sustainable rural livelihoods, via the creation of affordable, low-impact smallholdings. It was set up by a group of ecological and smallholder organisations which realised that a major obstacle for people wanting to cultivate smallholdings was the unavailability of land.

The ELC has now acquired its second piece of land and will soon be open to applications from future smallholders.

First, though, to better understand the needs of potential smallholders, ELC has created a survey. It asks anyone who is genuinely interested in becoming a smallholder at one of the future plots to complete the survey.

If you’d like to find out more about the organisation before completing the survey, visit the website here. As a bonus,  those completing the survey have a chance to win two FREE tickets to the Oxford Real Farming Conference in January 2017. To be included in the prize draw, participants need to ensure they supply their email address or phone number at the end of the survey.

Complete the survey here.
