Lords Brexit inquiry on consumer rights

The House of Lords EU Justice Sub-Committee has launched the latest of several parliamentary inquiries into the impacts of Brexit. This one focuses on consumer protections.

EU law confers many rights on UK consumers. Chaired by Baroness (Helena) Kennedy QC, this inquiry will seek to establish what key aspects of EU consumer protection law currently apply to the UK, which aspects ought to be retained when the UK leaves the EU, and whether there are any negative aspects that the UK should leave behind.
