We proudly partner with Emergent Generation at Oxford Real Farming Conference for a careers networking session (which will be returning for 2027 - watch this space for details!). They also have many events, year round, to provide learning, development and connection opportunities for younger people in the food and farming movement.

Coming up in autumn 2026:

Woodland Valley Farm Walk (Cornwall): Saturday 14 November, 10am - 2pm

Learn more about urban farming, agroecology and regenerative thinking. Connect with like-minded people, gain confidence, and share knowledge.

Woodland Valley Farm has been in the Jones family for three generations and is currently run by Chris, Janet and their daughter Felicity. She will show you around the farm and talk about how organic beef farming, an education centre and a beaver haven can coexist in a beautiful Cornish Valley.

If you are 18-35 and passionate about sustainability in the food system, this unique and inspiring event is for you! There are also limited supporter tickets available for those over 35. Tickets start at £10.

Explorative Conversation: Basic Income for Farmers (online): Tuesday 17 November, 7-8pm

An open, participatory discussion exploring what a Basic Income for all farmers and workers could mean for the future of farming.

Join Jo and Jas from Basic Income for Farmers for an open, participatory conversation exploring what a Basic Income for all farmers, farmworkers and food producers could mean for the future of farming.

Together, they’ll introduce the BI4F campaign and their definition of Basic Income. We'll hear from people in the room about what draws them to the idea, and take a guided leap forward to 2036: what might farming, landworking and our communities look like if everyone working on the land had a secure income floor?

Through small-group conversations and shared reflections, we’ll explore what this future could make possible  and what needs to change to get there.
