Good Food Local: The North East report

Good Food Local is a national programme led by Sustain that gives councils a practical framework for improving their local food system. When councils take part together as a region – as they have in the North East - they can benefit from shared learnings, collective momentum, and working together towards common goals.

This report marks the third year of Good Food Local in the North East region as partners to Sustain, coordinated and driven by ADPH North East, with funding from Impact on Urban Health and support from the wider North East Public Health.

It showcases action taken by councils on food systems issues linked to the six Sustainable Food Places themes, alongside progress or changes made since year one, and a celebration of wider activities delivered throughout the programme.
