News Real Bread Campaign

Published: Sunday 16 November 2025

It’s coming up to ‘that time of year’ so what to buy for the Real Bread lover in your life?

Here’s a not-at-all-exhaustive guide from the Real Bread Campaign to our own stuff, things that others offer that help raise funds for our charity’s work.* We’ve also added a few other suggestions to help inspire you.

For prices, delivery details and full info on a product, follow the link. Please bear in mind Royal Mail (and other couriers’) last posting dates leading up to Christmas.

Books

  • Slow Dough: Real Bread - around 90 recipes for sourdough and other long rise Real Bread. Published by Nourish Books.*
  • Bake Your Lawn – the grow a loaf guidebook to making Real Bread with children. Published by Sustain.*
  • Knead to Know…more – turn your baking hobby into a microbakery, then grow your business. Published by Grub Street.*

Kit

Other stuff

Classes, hampers, vouchers and more

Check out our Real Bread Map to find an indie bakery, baking school or small mill, then pop in (or have a look at their website / social media) to see what's on their menu.

‡Currently digital but will revert to hard copy if we manage to raise enough funds / generate sufficient income…

We couldn’t include everyone’s stuff, sorry. Unlike magazines, newspapers, websites etc. we don’t have researchers, writers and interns to spend time compiling this sort of thing. Many more options are available from Campaign supporters and friends, as well as from fine folk beyond our network.
