Defra harnesses British Food to drive up exports

Environment Secretary Elizabeth Truss has announced that 2016 will be the Year of British Food and will see the launch of the Great British Food Unit which will be run by Defra and UKTI. 

The new Great British Food unit will work to drive-up food and drink exports around the world, treble the number of apprenticeships in the food and drink industry and increase the number of Protected Food Names.
