Greener UK publishes Brexit policy "risk tracker"

A coalition of green grups has launched a "risk tracker" to assess which environmental policies are secure, and which are at risk from politicians seeking to weaken environmental standards.

On the anniversary of the EU referendum, the coalition of environment groups Greener UK has published the first assessment under its comprehensive Brexit Risk Tracker.

This will be updated quarterly to reflect the risks to environmental policy throughout the Brexit process. It is based on analysis of the UK government’s actions and commitments. A traffic-light rating system shows which policy areas are more secure (green), and which are most at risk (red) from Brexit, taking into account both impact and likelihood.

The process of creating this tool has drawn on the expertise and time of people across multiple organisations, with expertise across a wide range of environmental issues.
