FSA raw milk review

The Food Standards Agency will discuss the conclusions of their recent review of raw drinking milk controls on the 15th July.

The review found that the risk associated with drinking raw milk, except for vulnerable groups, was acceptable if the right hygiene controls are applied. However the review advised keeping restrictions on the sale of raw milk because compliance with the current rules is not consistent and it was uncertain that protection would be kept up if the raw drinking milk sector expanded.
