Linking environment and farming for 25 years

Sustain member LEAF celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2016, and has marked the occasion by publishing a review of the year, along with a new five-year strategy.

LEAF campaigns to link the environment and farming: it shows farmers how to farm more sustainably. Its newly published annual review (here) reveals that there are now 37 countries around the world with farms producing to LEAF marque standards, and that 33% of fruit and vegetables in the UK are grown to LEAF  standards. In addition, there are 38 LEAF demonstration farms, showcasing LEAF's version of sustainable farming in action.

The 5-year strategy sets out plans to expand organisation's capacity, increase the number of participating farms, and positively influence consumers' attitudes on the environment and farming. Find out more here.
