European Parliament votes against sugar in baby foods

Sustain member Baby Milk Action said they were delighted with the vote, having campaigned for the EU to do something about sugar levels in baby foods since 2006.

The vote rejected draft EU rules on baby food which would have allowed high levels of sugar in products for use from 4 months. UK Green MEP Keith Taylor was behind the motion to redraft the rules.
