EC seeks views on CAP greening rules

The European Commission has launched a consultation on the new 'greening' measures of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

The 12 week consultation seeks the views of farmers, NGOs, researchers and members of the public. The greening measures were introduced in 2015 and include Ecological Focus Areas, crop diversification and maintaining permanent pasture. The EC want to know about experiences of implementing the greening obligations and ways to simplify the process. The consultation period ends on the 8 March 2016.  See Sustain's Food and Farming policy.
