Are YOU ready for Sourdough September?

The Real Bread Campaign has never been only about sourdough, but in September we do give it extra love.

As a reminder (or introduction), #SourdoughSeptember is the Real Bread Campaign’s annual, international celebration of genuine sourdough bread, and people who make it. We run it to encourage people to:

• BAKE genuine sourdough bread for themselves and others
• BUY genuine sourdough bread from indie bakeries
• BOOST the Real Bread Campaign

With our charity's costs rising as rapidly as for everyone else, this year we need to ask YOU - our supporters and other friends - to give us an extra hand with the third of these.

If you run a business that makes, or teaches, genuine sourdough bread:

• Check your Real Bread Map entry is up to date.
• Sign up to The Real Bread Loaf Mark scheme.
• Add an optional 50p-£1 to customers' bills
• Hold a fundraising feast, raffle, prize draw etc.
• Sell (or invite donations for) pots of sourdough starter and give us the cash.
• Encourage your customers to join us - through your mailing list, social media, chatting with them and whatever communications you use.
• Contact your local media outlets to encourage them to write a tie-in article / create content featuring your business.
• Get ready to post about #SourdoughSeptember and the Campaign on socials.
• Download the Sourdough September logo and this year's poster.
