Good Food for London

Are you concerned about the food available in your local schools, high street, leisure centres or care homes? London Food Link is campaigning to ensure your local authority makes changes for the better.

Each year, London Food Link produces a report and league table comparing every borough’s support for good food initiatives.

This year we’re introducing an indicator on access to good food. Things have improved massively in the last few years in terms of school food, but everyone knows that not all outlets beyond the schools gates offer food that’s healthy and sustainable. That’s why our report will look at actions such as restricting the number of junk food takeaways, particularly near schools, and how health considerations are factored into planning decisions.

Make a difference

Your local authority listens to the concerns of its residents, so find out about the food initiatives in your part of the capital and how you can help influence them.

If you are involved with local authority planning, catering or related food issues, or would simply like to find out more, contact Sofia Parente.
