Chuck the throwaway coffee cup habit

Keep Britain Tidy teams up with Costa Coffee to boost use of reusable cups

From now until 21 June 2016, every time a Costa customer opts for a reusable cup rather than a throwaway one, the company will donate 10p to the charity Keep Britain Tidy. So not only is at least one cup prevented from ending up as rubbish, but the money will help fund other activities to reduce litter.  And if customers can acquire the habit of taking their reusable cups back to the coffee shop, this source of food litter could diminish.

Costa has been working in partnership with Sustain member Keep Britain Tidy over the past 18 months and is a signatory to the charity’s Litter Prevention Commitment as well as the sponsor of the Big Tidy Up campaign, which supports community litter-picks.
