The Children’s Health Fund is beginning to create real, lasting change to the lives of children around the United Kingdom. None of this would have been possible without the amazing support of our partner restaurants that have voluntarily adopted a 10p sugary drinks levy and donated the money raised into our fund.
Funds are distributed in two themed funding rounds each year; the first round was on the theme of drinking water, and the second on holiday food provision.
To give an idea of what we’ve managed to achieve together since September 2015:
- £50,000 awarded via the Water Fountain Fund (see recipients below)
- £54,000 awarded via the Holiday Food Fund (see recipients below)
- £60,000 awarded via strategic grants (see below)
- 47 (including water works projects) projects in all 12 regions in the UK supported

Children's Health Fund: Set up by Jamie Oliver and Sustain in August 2015, the aim is to get restaurants to volunteer to put a 10p levy on non-alcoholic soft drinks with added sugar. This money will be paid into the Children’s Health Fund to support programmes and schemes aimed at improving children’s health and food education.
