Farmstarts, or ‘farm incubation sites’, are labs of 'insurrectionary agriculture'. Where ecology and ethics meet, Farmstarts are a place for people to test farming techniques and growing ideas in a protected environment.

The Landworkers' Alliance have produced a Farmstart guide. The aim is to provide best practice guidelines based on the experiences of established organisations. The guide also aims to help establish a network of Farmstart organisations to share experiences and support one another in the spirit of mutual aid and solidarity.

The guide is written in conjunction with OrganicLea, Tamar Grow Local and Sustain member the Kindling Trust.
