The Covid-19 pandemic significantly increased the number of people struggling to access food in the community. But around the country meals on wheels services not only delivered food but also regularly checked-in on people.

Anyone can take part in the celebration, whether they deliver or recieve meals or just want to celebrate a great service in their local area. It's really simple to take part. Find out more.

Unfortunately many areas in the UK no longer have a meals on wheels service. So this celebration is just one action being taken around Meals on Wheels Week 2020 to foster more support to maintain and develop services. A range of activities will highlight the value of meals on wheels services and call on policy-makers and commissioners to support this vital support for people to stay nourished and connected to their local community.
