The Future is Flexitarian

Following a survey finding that nearly half the British public is willing or already committed to cutting down on meat, a new report shows how some companies are responding to this trend, but others lag behind.

According to YouGov research commissioned by Sustain member Eating Better, 44% of adults in the UK have either already cut down on eating meat, or are ready to do so. And while some companies have responded well to the trend, the research also finds that restaurants, fast food chains, supermarkets, food producers and food service providers need to do much more to serve this fast growing market.
