Sustain member the
Landworkers' Alliance, the organisation that promotes ecological community and family farming, is hosting a unique event on the site of the great Green Scythe Fair, the day before the fair itself.
The Land Skills Day will take place on 11 June, at Thorney Lakes, Muchelney, Somerset. It will involve workshops and skillshares on a range of land-based skills: see

Tickets cost £40 for LWA members, £65 non members, £10 under 16 (plus admin fees). This includes includes lunch and dinner, live music in the evening from a Gypsy Swing Band, plus entrance to the
Green Scythe Fair the following day, which claims to be the most authentic, as well as the most enjoyable, country fair in England.
There will be children's activities throughout the day. Camping costs an extra £5 pppn, and is available next to the event site.
