The report details seven principles of 'a food system that has people at its heart'. These seven principles include farming that benefits people, not corporations; farming that allows rural communities to thrive; produces enough food for all; encourages biodiversity; increases soil fertility and creates a food system resilient to changing climate conditions and unstable economies. Greenpeace are supporting farmers to achieve their goals and encouraging consumers to play their part by buying and eating food that is produced more sustainably. Sustain: Sustain The alliance for better food and farming advocates food and agriculture policies and practices that enhance the health and welfare of people and animals, improve the working and living environment, enrich society and culture and promote equity.
