Groundswell, the Regenerative Agriculture Festival, will be back on the 26th and 27th June for another year of lively discussions around food and farming. This year Sustain will be hosting two sessions, firstly "ELMs: Where Are We Now and Where Do We Need to Be?", which will explore the progress and future of the Environmental Land Management Schemes. The second Sustain session, "Home Grown: How Can UK Horticulture Flourish in the Future?", will unveil strategies to enhance the UK's horticulture sector and launch a new report on agroecological horticulture in collaboration with the Soil Association and The Wildlife Trusts.
Home-Grown: How can UK horticulture flourish in the future?
This session will address the key challenges in agroecological and organic food systems, focusing on how to overcome these challenges and scale up regenerative fruit and vegetable production in the UK.
ELMs – Where are we now? And where do we need to be?
This session will review the challenges and opportunities within the Environmental Land Management Schemes, discussing how these schemes can be improved to benefit both nature and farmers.
Additionally, Sustain alliance members will conduct various workshops and discussions throughout Groundswell 2024. For more information, visit the links below:
