Marine Conservation Society welcomes seabed protection

The Scottish Government have proposed new measures prohibiting harmful fishing activities in Marine Protected Areas.

Sustain member the Marine Conservation Society and their supporters took part in a campaign to urge Ministers in the Scottish government to extend inshore marine protected areas, asking them to manage them properly and prohibit fishing activities that harm the seabed.
