Real Bread bakers amongst the best

Once again the Baking Industry Awards has recognised that bakers who shun artificial additives are the cream of the crop.

Real Bread Campaign ambassador Aidan Chapman, head baker at Flint Owl Bakery in Lewes; Campaign supporter Aidan Monks, owner of Lovingly Artisan in Altrincham, are vying to be named Baker Of The Year.

Other Campaign supporters recognised by BIAs this year are Alex Gooch Artisan Baker in Hay on Wye and Eastbourne's Poppyseed Bakery / Bexhill Farm Kitchen, both on the podium in the Speciality Bread Product of the Year category; and Cinnamon Square in the running for the Bakery Innovation Award.

The BIAs record of naming a Real Bread Campaign supporter Baker of The Year includes Mark Bennett (2014), Alex Gooch (2015), Dominic Salter (2016) and David Wright (2017).
