The Community Supported Agriculture Network is celebrating

Sustain member the CSA Network is marking two successful years of cultivating community supported agriculture in the UK. With nearly 100 CSA farms now enrolled, it is reaching out to new members, whether growers, customers or supporters.

The Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) movement aims to counter the negative effects of industrial agriculture by reconnecting people with fresh, local food produced by ecological farming methods. The CSA Network links CSA producers and their community-based supporters.

CSA comes in many forms, from one-acre shared fields to subscription veg box schemes and pig shares. The CSA Network points out that summer, when the farms are laden with produce, is the ideal time both to showcase farms and get involved as a supporter. For producers, the Network runs a mentoring programme, as well as training and networking events nationwide. Find out more here.
