New network of ‘Good Food Nation Activists’

A new network is forming to campaign for a Good Food Nation Bill to transforms food in Scotland.

There is currently a big opportunity to change food culture in Scotland. The Scottish Food Coalition's Kitchen Table Talks campaign is in full swing and the Scottish Government is expected to start consulting on the Good Food Nation Bill in the next few months.

To take advantage of these opportunities Nourish Scotland, who are part of the Sustain alliance, are helping to set up the Good Food Nation Activists Network. This network is envisioned as a space where people who are interested in getting more involved in changing Scotland’s food system can come together for collective action. Potential activities could include hosting Kitchen Table Talks or other food events, writing to MSPs, writing blogs or letters to the press, doing stunts or other public engagement.

The first meeting is 13 March 6-8pm at Edinburgh Larder (15 Blackfriars St.) You can book a place and find out more by following this link.
