Job: Antibiotics Campaign Manager
This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in campaigning to save antibiotics from unnecessary use, improve the health and welfare of farm animals, and prevent the growing threat of antibiotic resistant superbugs.

Established by Compassion in World Farming, the Soil Association and Sustain, the Alliance to Save Our Antibiotics is campaigning to end the routine use of antibiotics in intensively farmed animals. The overuse of antibiotics in farming increases the rate of emergence of antibiotic resistant bacteria that threaten human and animal health and supports the continuation of farming practices that are inhumane and unsustainable.
Our approach has been to take on this issue from a human health perspective. The 34 supporting members of the Alliance reflect this, with the majority representing the human health sector. The campaign has made great progress in recent years, and we are looking for an exceptional candidate to continue that work, with a growing focus on solutions.
This post will lead the campaign’s public-facing and advocacy strands of work, as well as increasing the size and diversity of the Alliance. We are seeking a candidate who can make our case at the highest levels, whether with politicians, industry or the medical profession. The post will also have responsibility for securing greater public awareness of the issue and the campaign.
Job Type: 1 year fixed term (0.6 FTE)
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 (depending on experience)
Depending on preference, the post could be based in London, Bristol or Godalming (the home towns of each of the organisations on the steering group for this important campaign).
