On Wednesday 30 November 2016, around 60 good food folk gathered in Covent Garden for an evening of nibbling and nattering at the London Food Link Winter Warmer.
Hosted by food enterprise incubator Startisans, the event was the latest in London Food Link’s series of bringing together the people who grow, make, forage, cook, save, sell and simply enjoy good food in the capital.
After a welcome drink of quince gin and tonic, guests heard inspiring stories of work from:
Attendees then had chance to chat to speakers and other guests, helping to build existing relationships within the network and make new ones, over a hearty seasonal veggie supper. This was created by chef and Crystal Palace’s Market Table founder Rachel de Thample, using London-grown ingredients including squashes from Calabaza and bread from Blackbird Bakery.
The event was also an opportunity to buy good food gifts, with the evening raising almost £600 to help London Food Link continue its work.
