Launched in 2010 by Sustain member the
Campaign for Real Farming, as a 'new kind of farming conference', the ORFC has more than fulfilled its ambitions.
This year's two-day gathering of the UK's sustainable food and farming movements will, as usual, offer a stimulating mix of practical advice, showcasing new techniques for best practice in agroecological farming, and extended opportunities for discussing the global food system, including the economic and trade policies that affect British farming.
The conference takes place on the 4th and 5th of January, in Oxford Town Hall and environs, and the programme is now live and can be viewed
here, along with booking and accommodation information. Sustain will be running a session titled 'Public Money for Public Good: Valuing farm subsidies from different perspectives' on the 4th January, as well as speaking in and chairing other sessions.
