The US Department of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Agency have announced the United State's first national food waste reduction programme, with a goal of 50% reduction by 2030.
The programme includes a consumer education campaign to reduce food loss and waste and will also encourage private sector organisations to set their own food waste reduction goals. Take a look at Sustain's FoodSave food waste campaign.
