Using an innovative mix of grants provided by Esmée Fairburn, loans backed by Community and Cooperative Finance and community generated finance, Just Growth aims to support up to 14 projects during the next 18 months.
The team behind the idea at The Real Farming Trust, which also runs the Oxford Real Farming Conference, are looking for projects that farm in a way that nurtures and protects the environment, helps people take control of their food and enables more people to eat better food.
The programme will provide a minimum grant of £15k, and a minimum loan of £15k, which needs to be matched by a minimum of £15k raised from the community. They will aos provide up to three days of mentoring support
The deadline for applications is 30 September 2015.
