In partnership with the National Farmers' Union (NFU) and Fir Farm the event will explore the policy and financial mechanisms needed to facilitate the transition to 'net zero' farming systems and how we can ensure there are strong enough markets to support the food they produce.
The conference is inspired by NFU President Minette Batters’ target of net zero carbon emissions from UK agriculture by 2040. It is the first NFU/SFT joint event, underlying the urgent need to work collaboratively to address the challenge of climate change.
Speakers include: Dr Gail Bradbrook - co-founder of Extinction Rebellion and Professor Dieter Helm - Chair of the Natural Capital Committee. The event is on 4 and 5 July and you can book tickets here.
