Feedback launch food waste petition

Food waste campaigner Feedback have launched a new petition calling for an EU directive requiring supermarkets to donate their edible unsold food to charity.

Sustain member Feedback worked with Action Against Hunger and the French Red Cross and say they started the petition after the success of a similar initiative in France which changed food waste legislation. They want to see an end to food waste in every country in Europe.  See Sustain's work on the FoodSave food waste project.
