FSA survey reveals customer fears about hidden sugars in food

The latest Food Standards Agency shopper survey revealed that sugar content in food is the major concern among customers.

52% of the 1,989 respondents that completed the Biannual Public Food Attitudes Tracker survey in England, Wales and Northern Ireland said they were worried about the sugar content in their food.

Sugar content replaced food prices as a major concern for the first time since the survey began in 2010. Other wider food issues raised were food waste and animal welfare.
