Pret eyes vegetarian market

Sandwich chain Pret a Manger have surveyed their customers to find out whether they would like to see more vegetarian options.

Recognising a need to reduce meat consumption for health and environmental reasons, chief executive Clive Schlee has seen a shift among customers towards buying vegetarian salads and sandwiches. The survey results showed that 52% would like to see a veggie fridge in every shop, 44% would like a vegetarian Pret to open while 4% said the chain was fine as it is.
