In this online discussion, you will hear from four land-based knowledge hubs in the UK. They will delve into the nitty gritty of how these knowledge hubs work, looking at their successes and challenges.
With confirmed speakers from: Northern Food and Farming Knowledge Hubs, ADHB Monitor Farms, Innovative Farmers Field Labs and Landed Community Kitchens.
The webinar is designed to give an opportunity for people working in regional grain networks across the UK to think about how they could use resources in their regions to create physical spaces for knowledge sharing and connection.
This webinar is by RISE, a community of representatives from regional grain networks across the UK. The project is coordinated by the Gaia Foundation’s Seed Sovereignty Programme, UK Grain Lab and Coventry University Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience.
RISE coordinates a Community of Practice (CoP) to address key challenges facing people working on the ground regionally in their transition towards an agroecological grain system. The CoP includes representatives from South West Grain Network, Yorkshire Grain Alliance, Common Grains, Llafur Ni, South East Grain Alliance, East Anglia Grain Alliance, West Midlands Grain Network, Nottingham Mill Coop, the Real Bread Campaign and Organic Research Centre.
The vision is to a movement that is more connected, organised and skilled as we move forward to change the grain system together. We believe a more diverse, democratic and decentralised grain system is possible.
You can find out more through the RISE project newsletter on Substack.
RISE is funded by Farming the Future, which enables the project to offer this webinar to everyone working towards an agroecological grain system in the UK.
