A people-centred food policy for the 21st century?

Looking back, looking forward: the 2016 City Food Symposium offers a chance to deliberate the achievements, omissions and future direction of food policy

Sustain member the Centre for Food Policy, at City University of London, is this year devoting its annual City Food Symposium to the big question: what will food and farming look like in post-Brexit Britain? Specifically, how can the food policy community -- policy makers, civil society and academe -- do policy differently, to ensure that what emerges is a more sustainable food system than the one we have currently?

As a pioneer of food policy, Professor Tim Lang, steps back from his role at the helm of the Centre for Food Policy, and the distinguished scholar Professor Corinna Hawkes takes over, delegates will gather to review what the Centre has achieved and discuss how it can best continue its role in the new policy landscape.
