An Apple Away-a-Day

Team outings need not be endless strategy meetings or dinner at a stuffy restaurant – new social enterprise is showing how they can be a fruitful way of spending time together while doing good.

New social enterprise Spare Fruit has begun running Apple Away Days. These are all about team bonding and learning about farm life and food waste, while gleaning unwanted apples. All this in a relaxed rural setting, there are many options to choose from to customise your day out of the office. They work with small farms to transform surplus produce into delicious products such as crisps and juice, while raising awareness about food waste and healthy eating.

Dates from October to early November 2016 available. Contact applesaway [at] sparefruit.com for more information and mention The Jellied Eel for a special discount!
