Student sustainability researchers available

The National Union of Students (NUS), founders of Dissertations for Good, is offering a 10% discount to members of Sustain looking for students to help with research into economic, social and environmental sustainability.

Dissertations for Good connects organisations with a network of university students across the UK, thereby contributing to the growing field of sustainability research and helping students gain important experience and skills development.

Annual membership to their scheme starts at £100 and provides access to a growing network of over 800 students from universities across the UK. It allows you to post ideas for research subjects, view students' ideas and hear about interesting events and opportunities coming up.

The costs are based on the size and type of your organisation, with smaller, public and third sector organisations having their memberships subsidised, plus there are 20 free spaces per year for micro-sized public or third sector organisations. Membership includes:

  • Registering of an unlimited number of project ideas on the database
  • Suggested partnerships with students based on your research interests
  • A visit onsite from an NUS representative to introduce you to the scheme
  • Guidance documents to assist in forming a successful partnership

To find out more about the initiative and to see details of completed projects visit the website or email dfg@nus.org.uk mentioning Sustain.

Sustain is working in partnership with the NUS to help university and college students to set up food co-htops and food preserving enterprises, with start up costs funded for successful groups.  Find out more information.
