We are setting up a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and are seeking three to six interim Trustees, including a Chair, for a period of approximately a year.

The role of the Trustees will be to establish the legal and financial base of the Partnership, oversee the strategic work of the Partnership’s cross-sector Steering Group to ensure it fulfils the organisation’s charitable objects, manage the paid Coordinator(s), and ensure the future continuation of the organisation in line with legal and financial requirements. Trustees are sought with relevant professional experience, particularly in chairing / change management, finance, HR / legal, and fundraising. Some knowledge and experience of food issues and Buckinghamshire would be of benefit, but not essential.

More important is knowledge and skill, coupled with the time to dedicate to setting up this organisation (currently 6 to 12 meetings a year plus 4 delivery meetings per year for each area of work – currently online). This is a pivotal time for food in general and for Buckinghamshire, and an exciting time to be initiating work at the intersection of a range of place-based food issues. These interim Trustee roles promise to be significant and rewarding in pushing forward Buckinghamshire’s “good food journey” and enabling a flourishing food future for everyone in the county.

We are actively seeking to recruit Trustees with a range of different experiences and backgrounds, and seek to champion equality and diversity in all of our work.

For more information on this journey, please see the Time for a Buckinghamshire Food Partnership report at www.bucksfoodpartnership.org, where you can also find full Trustee role descriptions. To arrange an informal chat about the role(s), email tejal@sustainweb.org

Please email Tejal with your expression of interest (including your CV if possible) by 9am on Monday 22nd March 2021.
