£200,000-worth of prizes for regeneration projects

Lush cosmetics and the Ethical Consumer Research Association have launched a new, £200,000 prize fund to reward projects around the world that are working on social and environmental regeneration.

The organisers say the aim of the prizes is to boost groups that are demonstrating how to 'do things differently', in ways that revive damaged environments and provide people with opportunities. That could include food projects!

The awards fall into four categories:
  • Intentional Projects (£50,000) - backing for great ideas in the early stages;
  • Young Projects (£75,000) - projects 1-5 years old seeking to grow;
  • Established Projects (£50,000) - beacons demonstrating success and withstanding the test of time;
  • Influence Award (£25,000) - lobbying or campaigning to influence policy or public opinion in support of regeneration.
Nominations close on 28th February 2017 -- full details here.
