The previous company management repeatedly rejected a four-point remedial plan suggested by the International Baby Food Action Network (IBFAN), to which Baby Milk Action belongs. Mike Brady, Campaigns and Networking Coordinator at Baby Milk Action, said: 'We look on this as a new beginning for Nestlé. Although many of the people in the administration are the same, we hope that Mark Schneider as new CEO will finally agree that it is both right and wise to market baby milks responsibly. If more babies were breastfed, and if instructions on powdered formula warned it is not sterile, then lives would be saved.'
