We publish an annual food poverty profile called Beyond the Food Bank, which provides a comprehensive picture of how much London boroughs are doing to reduce long-term food poverty.

We also carry out a programme of work focusing on specific issues within the report, working with a range of partners. This includes work promoting Healthy Start, championing school holiday food provision, highlighting good practice in meals on wheels provision and supporting areas to develop food poverty action plans.

Both the London Food Poverty Campaign and the Beyond the Food bank report sit alongside the Good Food for London report and the wider work of London Food Link.

The London Food Poverty Campaign is a London Food Link project

London Food Link is the umbrella for all of Sustain's initiatives in London. Our work includes helping to influence local government policy, hands-on food growing training, running sessions for public sector caterers, creating guidance for independent eateries and food producers, public awareness campaigns, and joining the dots between people around specific food issues. The London Food Poverty Campaign is conducted with funding form Trust For London.

Food Poverty

Over 8 million people in the UK struggle to get enough to eat. Sustain is working with communities, third-sector organisations, local authorities and government, aiming to make sure everyone can eat well.
