The report highlights the need for well-designed, nature-friendly food systems that will benefit communities by keeping money local.
Given the context of the upcoming COP26, National Food Strategy and Government’s ambitions for a green economic recovery, this event was a timely opportunity for parliamentarians to be briefed on why using shorter, farmer-focused supply chains will create more green jobs, support local food producers, and help level-up our towns and rural landscapes.
