Join Hélèna Dove for this session on 'Irrigation and watering methods in food growing' to get ready for the growing year. With one eye ever on sustainability, water usage in the productive garden is a hot topic. In this session, learn why plants need water and the best way to provide this vital substance, and when it is critical.
We will cover topics such as water harvesting, when to water and how to retain water through activities such as mulching and cover crops. Different methods of watering will be examined from drip irrigation to sprinklers with the pros and cons of each type.
