From January - July 2026, Sustain and Eating Better delivered the first ever JEDI (justice, equity, diversity and inclusion) leadership programme in the sustainable food and farming sector, funded by Farming the Future.
The six-month programme was expertly designed to move beyond EDI and focus on advancing systemic change and creating a cultural shift which will have a ripple effect across the sector.
Organisations that participated in the programme are Better Food Traders, Biteback, Eating Better, Farming the Future, Food Ethics Council, Food Foundation, Foodrise, Nourish Scotland, Obesity Health Alliance, Soil Association, SOS UK and Sustain.
This programme was facilitated by Letesia Gibson at New Ways with programme management support from Sareta Puri, Sustain and Idman Abdurahaman, Eating Better.
You can read about the first in-person session and programme. A summary report and recommendations will be shared in September 2026.
